Self evaluation, an outstanding process for the eagerness accreditation of University careers: "The experience of the Physical Education career of the Catholic University of Maule"

Abstract

The present article intends to integrate the reader to the new process of evaluation of undergraduate careers, implemented from the year 2000, taking into account the information asked by the National Commission of Self Evaluation and Accreditation, and based on the experience maintained by the Physical Education Career at the Catholic University of Maule, that has been the first of its specialty in receiving this recognition in the Country. For it, in his first part, this article gives the elements and fundamental criteria that the CNAP has taken into account to take ahead this process. Then, it relates things done by this career in each one of its phases, finishing with their process of accreditation. This information can serve as base to other departments or careers that wish to initiate this process.
