Abstract

The objet of the present article was to validate the Progresive Montreal University Test (PMUT) in scholastic young people, of high school, of the Talca city — Chile, where the sample was the voluntary subjects, selected of the city high school that they responded to the request of being studied, with a total of 327 individuals, 173 girls and 154 boys, to those who it was applied to them the PMUT, and some of them were put under tests of verification to start off the other knows and validated tests for the cuality, lactate test (39 individuals), Cooper test (40 individuals), and naveta test (96 individuals). For other side, descriptive statistic of average was used, deviation standard and rank to characterize at the groups. Finally, the scorers, they show that the PMUT is valid for the studied population that measures the VO, máx. Of forro very similar to since they do it the Cooper and the naveta tests, being a readily accessible test, objective and reliable for the determination of the MAP in the high school students, scientific humanist, of the Talca City-Chile. Thus also it was managed to establish that the maximal aerobic power (MAP) levels, hoped for this rank of age (14 to 19 years old) it was suitable and the even superior one at international standard.
