Abstract

According to Tillich, Judaism and Christianity have a profound common parentage : both believe in a God who is universal, just, historical and personal. Since both religions imply the prime importance of time and history, Judaism and Christianity contradict ancient polytheisms and oppose modern ideologies of a nazi type which, on the contrary, give importance to space and geography.
