Unconcealedness, Freedom and Responsibility. About Occurrence and Event of Truth According to Heidegger

Abstract

The article does not ask about truth, but about the occurrence of truth, that is, about that dimension that lets the true be true. From this point of view, we examine Martin Heidegger’s understanding of truth. We also consider the main ideas of diverse authors, who developed their thought with Heidegger, and against him. These include the theologian and New Testament professor Heinrich Schlier; the philosopher of religion Bernhard Welte; the ethical thought of Emmanuel Levinas’ and the philosophical hermeneutics of Hans-Georg Gadamer’s. The purpose of the article consists in clarifying the symphony of truth in the multiplicity of its voices.
