Abstract

The Physical Education Major of the University of Concepción, from the Integral Project of Improvement of the Initial Training of Professors develops the "Progressive Practicum" Program with 3 phases: Observation, Workshops and Professional Practicum. The level of achievement reached in the "Standard of Performance" (PS) Department of Education (2000) Facet 1. Preparation for the teaching, in 3° was of 70.3%, 72% in 4° and 72.8% in 5°. Facet 2. Creation of a favorable environment, 85% in 3°, 100% in 4° and 80% in 5°. Facet 3. Teaching for the learning, 82% in 3°, 80% in 4° and 68,5% in 5° Facet 4. Educational Professionalism, 79,1%, in 3°, 80% in 4° and 50% in 5°. It is concluded that the project been successful in the formation of the professors, because the PS achieved an average of 76,6% among the students of third, fourth and fifth year.
