Abstract
The purpose of this papar is to examine the A.T. anaerobic (onset) threshold response, (intensity of physical exercises with a concentration of venous lactate of 2,2, mmofil) and P.A.T. Performance threshold (intensity al a concentration of poned of aerobic resistartce of long distance runners. The resulta expressed in % of maximun exigen cornsumption as woll as those results expressed in physical performance show significant increase bolh al the A.T. level and P.T. leveL The results show that eight weeks at equivalent intensit levels are sufficient to cause significant modifications in performance. These data suggest that training practicas conducted with an intensity al the A.T. level are effective for long distance evenls in track and field competition.
